CFP: Diesis: Footnotes Literary Identities

Diesis: Footnotes on Literary Identities
Volume 1, Issue 2: the Other Issue
CFA

Submission Deadline: October 1st

The Editorial Board of Diesis: Footnotes Literary Identities would like to welcome you to submit to our second issue. This second issue will continue the inaugural issue’s study of identity, concentrating this time on the diesis, or double dagger, which indicates a footnote or point of reference.
For Diesis’s the Other Issue, then, we want to focus on the footnote of identity—that is, we wish to examine the identity of the Other: the disenfranchised, the marginalized, the different, the alternative in any literary environment. We particularly encourage articles pertaining to minority in the sense of race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, morality, sex, gender, sexuality, age, power, monetary, socioeconomic, intelligence, experience, and the discourse between majority and minority.
Please send manuscripts of no less than 5,000 and no more than 10,000 words electronically to the Diesis Editorial Board at submissions@diesisjournal.org with “Submission: 1.2” as the subject line. Articles should conform to current MLA guidelines and be in a Word document format (.doc). All articles should be written in endnote format. Lines should be double spaced, including notes and quotations, and in 12 point Times New Roman with 1 inch margins. Pages should be numbered consecutively and should include a short title in the header. All articles should be written in or translated into English.
To facilitate blind review, please do not include any identifying information in your manuscript. Instead, provide your name, institution, manuscript title, and a brief biographical note in the body of your email. So that we may comply with copyright law, you must also confirm that your article has not been published and is not being considered for publication elsewhere.
Further information concerning submissions to Diesis: Footnotes Literary Identities can be found at www.diesisjournal.org/submissions. For any questions, please contact the Diesis Editorial Board at submissions@diesisjournal.org.
